Michael
2013-2015
Costume design and composition displayed as sculpture.

I purchased the costume elements separately. I assembled the pre-fabricated parts and filled it with synthetic cotton to give it the appearance of a character. I split the wings and built a wire frame to stretch across the back of the clothing and underneath the armor. I then glued additional feather throughout the wings and along the top.
This piece is an interpretation of the archangel Michael.
